Stremize is a media player application that allows users to organize and stream content from sources configured by the user. Stremize does not host, upload, store, or distribute copyrighted media content.
We are committed to complying with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and Google Play User Data policies.
By using Stremize, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the service.
If you create an account, we may collect:
Email address
Encrypted authentication credentials
Device identifiers (for subscription validation and device limit enforcement)
We may automatically collect limited technical data such as:
App version
Device model
Operating system version
Crash logs and error reports
Anonymous feature usage metrics
This data is used solely to improve stability, compatibility, and performance.
We may use trusted third-party services such as Firebase to collect anonymous diagnostics and usage metrics for crash reporting and performance monitoring.
We do not collect:
Media files you stream
Detailed viewing history for analytics or advertising purposes
Your watch history from third-party services
We do not collect or store your payment card details. Payment processing is handled securely by third-party payment providers (e.g., Google Play Billing).
However, we do collect purchase history related to Stremize subscriptions (such as transaction IDs and subscription status) to validate and maintain your premium access.
Stremize allows users to optionally connect third-party services. These integrations are initiated and authorized solely by the user.
When accessing third-party APIs, standard technical identifiers such as IP address, device information, and HTTP headers may be transmitted as part of normal internet communication.
Stremize does not sell personal data and does not intentionally transmit personally identifiable information beyond what is required for authentication and feature functionality.
Stremize retrieves publicly available metadata (such as titles, posters, descriptions, and ratings) from third-party providers including:
The Movie Database (TMDB)
Stremize does not transmit user account information to TMDB.
Standard technical identifiers (such as IP address) may be transmitted as part of normal API communication.
Metadata retrieved is public information and is not linked to user identity on our servers.
Stremize may retrieve publicly available streaming availability information from services such as JustWatch to display where content may be legally available.
Stremize does not share user account data with JustWatch.
Standard technical identifiers may be transmitted during API communication.
Users may optionally enter API credentials for third-party debrid or file hosting services.
Credentials are provided voluntarily by the user.
Authentication data is transmitted directly to the selected service as part of user-authorized API requests.
Credentials are stored securely and used solely to enable playback functionality.
Stremize does not access, store, or retain user files on its own servers.
Stremize does not reuse or sell API credentials.
All media access requests are initiated by the user.
Users may optionally connect their Trakt account through OAuth authentication.
When connected:
Stremize may access user-authorized data (such as watch status or playback progress).
OAuth tokens are stored securely.
Data retrieved from Trakt is used only for synchronization and in-app display.
Users may disconnect their Trakt account at any time.
During OAuth authentication and API communication, standard technical identifiers may be transmitted as part of internet communication.
